Texas Holdem has really brought the word to the game of poker, and is still an easy game ot learn and play. Of course, proper strategy for Texas Hold 'Em is just as hard as any other poker game.

The Rules Of Texas Hold 'Em

Texas Hold 'Em starts with the two players to the left of the dealer paying the Blinds. The player directly to the left of the dealer pays the Small Blind, which is equal to one half of the minimum bet. The player two to the left of the dealer pays the Big Blind, equal to the minimum bet.

When the blinds are paid, each player in the game recieves two cards face-down. These are the players "hole cards". Players take turns in betting until all bets are called by all remaining players. Players can chooe to fold their hands during their turnand be out of the game.

The dealer then deals the "Flop", another name for the first three community cards. These community cards are dealt to the table face-up and can be used as part of every players hand. After the Flop, players take their turns at betting again.

After this, the dealer deals a forth community card, called the "Turn". All remaining players can now bet on this round.

After this, the dealer daels the fifth and final community card, called the "River". Players once again take turns in this final betting round.

If more then one player is left after this, they enter the showdown, there all remaining players show their hands to determine the winner of the game.

The winner is determined by the best hand of five cards. This hand can be made up of any five cards from the two in the players hand and the five community cards.
